Small update log.

Hey buddies! Hope you all enjoyed the new teaser thing I created for the in-game walkPhone. The walkPhone will be used to access most of the content within the game. So, for example, apps have various functions.

The Manmazon app will allow you to use Walk Points to purchase DLCs, which aren't the sort of real-world DLCs you would expect, but instead offer aesthetic changes and the like (hats, outfits, wallpapers for the phone, new cursors, etc.). The Walkmart app is how you will buy upgrades to improve your various Walk Point earning ventures, such as increasing how many WPs you earn from different miners, how much you earn per click, how much you earn for defeating an enemy. The Minerman app enables you to purchase sequentially more powerful "miner programs" that earn you WP by themselves, and they range from classical Walk Point miners to more exotic types of mining programs, like hiring human miners to miner for you, which can be even more powerful than computer miners. The last main app will be the App Store, which is where you will buy other apps, unlocking apps that haven't been unlocked yet.

You'll start off with only the App Store app, the Email app, and the Bowser Browser app. From the moment you're given the cell phone, a gift from Glowcorp for your Walkman, you can purchase more apps which will expand the game, even given you access to minigames.

The minigames will function as both minigames and ways to earn Walk Points. The latter hasn't been completely hashed out, but will likely entail given you a buff by playing and earning points, depending on the game you play. An example would be the Doki Doki game, which is an idle game within the idle game of Walkman. Any Hearts (the "currency" of the game) you earn from Doki Doki will be converted into Walk Points.

So far, eight minigames have been designed but not fleshed out within the game yet. That's what I'll be working on some, as well as the cell phone system itself. The cell phone can be pulled out at any time after acquiring it with the Space key, and if put away again, will remain on whatever screen (paused if it's a game) until you pull it back out again.

If you have any questions about the game, feel free to DM me on Twitter @TheMicrofrog, and/or join my Discord server "The Pond" at https://discord.gg/mzx7UdZ

And, if you want to support me, feel free to add Walkman to your collection and give this devlog a like. A couple of simple things that could really help me out in the long run. I also have a Patreon if you want to help financially support the game at https://www.patreon.com/microfrog

Either way, thanks for reading, and hope you have a wonderful day.
